  • Personal Care – Tooth paste, floss, deodorant, lotion for face/hands/feet (airplane travel is typically dry)
  • Shoes – Wear very soft shoes since carrying things that are heavy, on hard surfaces, for long distances, with no warmup, and much sedentary time can result in fatigue or injury.
  • Technology – Have mobile devices cleared for travel so they don’t contain sensitive information
  • Travel Fatigue Tips
    • Avoid caffein, it throws off the body’s natural rhythms
    • Avoid salt because it can cause puffiness and impede circulation to the legs which are typically not getting enough exercise while traveling
    • Avoid sugar and sweets because they lower the immune system
    • Do not watch television or look at screens too much because these can drain energy
    • Drink only water since other beverages may have caffein or sugar
    • Eat mostly vegan foods, avoid cheese, dairy, and breads since slight allergic reactions can cause stuffy nose and ear pain resulting from changes in cabin pressure
    • Meditate and sleep
