Summary. After a few years of leaving our rates unchanged, in 2012 we’re increasing our hourly consulting rates by about 10% to keep up with operating costs.

“I regularly work along-side of consultants who charge $150 to $260 per hour. Sometimes I end up solving problems they can’t figure out. Even so, I try to keep support affordable and accessible by keeping rates low. This year, we are adjusting our home support rate to $70 per hour and business support rates to $90 an hour. This is approximately what we were charging back in 1997.” ~ Greg Johnson

New Rates. Our new rate structure is as follows.

  • Personal Services: $70 per hour (for on-site or phone support)
  • Business Services: $90 per hour (for on-site or phone support)
  • Emergency Response: At our discretion, on-site support with a response time within 24 hours may be available. However, the rates are $90 per hour for personal services and $120 per hour for business services.
  • On-Site Trip Fee. Travel time is charged as follows:
    • Local: $20 per trip (or time in transit at $70 an hour if greater than $20)
