Summary. The Resources for Life Conference 2008 is scheduled for August 8 to 10, and includes the Small House Society Conference 2008. The conference was originally scheduled for July 12 and 13, but was rescheduled because of the Border to Border Tour.
Conference Text. The textbook used for the conference workshops is Put Your Life on a Diet by Gregory Johnson – available at Prairie Lights Books in Iowa City.
Schedule. The conference schedule will be as follows:
- Day 1, Friday, August 8, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The conference begins with registration and an introductory presentation and workshop. Location: Meeting Room A at the Iowa City Public Library.
- Day 2, Saturday, August 9, 10:00 AM – 6 PM. The second day of the conference will included workshops exploring the seven areas of life presented on the Map page of the ResourcesForLife.com website. Location: 10AM to 12:30 PM in Meeting Room A and then 2PM to 6PM in Meeting Room B at the Iowa City Public Library.
- Day 3, August 10, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM. CANCELLED. Due to low registration and turnout, the third day of the conference has been cancelled. The third day of the conference was to consist of workshops focusing on strategies for smaller and simpler living. This was also to be the Small House Society Conference 2008. Location: This event will be in Meeting Room A at the Iowa City Public Library.
Mobile Hermitage Tour. For those interested, tours of the 140 square foot Mobile Hermitage can be scheduled for the morning on Sunday. CANCELLED. Due to low registration and turnout, the Mobile Hermitage Tour has been cancelled.
