This resource page offers employment and career resources for job hunting with an emphasis on jobs in the Mid East, such as Abu Dhabi, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and the Gulf area in general. We want to thank Yahya Ibrahim for providing the source material for much of this page. Although many of these agencies are international, they do have branches in Abu Dhabi or Dubai.
Quite a lot of these agencies advertise in Gulf News and Khaleej Times. So, instead paying for a subscription, you can directly register with the agencies.
Several of the sites listed offer CV writing tips. Remember to keep updating or refreshing your CV and keep searching for new job postings. Don't just search once and leave it at that. Many of these agencies regularly update their job database. Persistence and patience are essential.
* Please note that we are working on cleaning up this list to provide active links to the sites listed. Website addresses below from A to G are currently active links and will open up the listed website. Links from H to Z must be copied into your browser's address bar.
ablefisher.com - Global recruitment firm but has positions in Dubai as well. Some Islamic positions are listed as well. Anyone with Islamic Law experience should check it out.
careercentre.ae - Please note that "Dubai Internet City", for example, means the government authority itself, not all the companies located in DIC. For DIC companies, check the links at the bottom of this document.
e-jobsearch.com/uae/Jobseekers.asp - Searches for recruiters in the UAE. There are hints that it's a paid service but I'm not sure, so please be careful.
gulfjobsites.com - Nice site covering the whole gulf. The UAE has a section with recruitment agencies links. I've copied all of them onto this document as it's a bit tedious to navigate this site. However, you can check out the ratings that they gave to various agencies. Also, they have many other job links.
Note: Links from this point on are still being cleaned up and coded to make them active so pages will load automatically. Until then, please copy and paste links of interest into your browser. Thanks.
www.imsgulf.com – You need to navigate this site a bit in order to figure out what's going on.
www.indigo.ae
www.it-people.com - For IT. Seems better than the link below.

http://www.international-job-search.com/ - It mentions Dubai as one of the "most favored expatriate business locations".They have some job hunting tips, but it seems like a paid site.
http://careers.ieee.org/ - Okay, okay, this is NOT a recruitment agency. It's the careers section of the IEEE, a huge institute of engineers worldwide. You have to be a member of the IEEE to use it, but a) it has good advice b) any engineers or IT personnel should really join this institute. It has some really good stuff. For those interested in IT, they have a Computer Society (http://www.computer.org/) which people can join separately. By doing so, you get LOTS of free tutorials / courses and free access to online books. Also, you get their magazine.
www.jobdirection.com – For unskilled workers as well.
www.jrknowles.com
www.jobsindubai.com – This is a paid site for non-UAE residents. The company is based in Canada. However, they have a Dubai branch. UAE residents need to attach a visa copy and passport copy to their resume. Please read the FAQ on the site.
www.jafza.ae – Check the careers section. Doesn't seem to be much though.
www.jobvertise.com – A resume database (apparently the world's largest).
http://www.jobsearchworld.com/ - International site.
http://www.jobstreet.com/ - Doesn't directly cater to the Gulf but I saw some UAE and Saudi jobs in their list.
http://www.kredus.com/ - The Gulf jobs site lists this as a Dubai firm but I couldn't find any UAE contacts on the site. It specializes in IT and Telecommunications.
www.logisticsrecruitment.ae – International Agency for Logistics (i.e. Shipping). Has a Dubai branch.
http://www.learn4good.com/jobs/language/english/list/all_countries/ - International Job Search.

www.nadia-me.com Supposed to be good. Terrible for veiled (face-veil, I mean) ladies as they want candidates to send in their photos

http://www.techjobsindubai.com/ - The title seems nice and all but the site doesn't have much to offer. I've already copied most of the links but you can check it out anyway.
http://www.totaljobs.com/ - Basically, a UK job search engine but some of the mentioned companies did have UAE job openings.
http://www.talismanretail.co.uk/ - Specializes in "fashion" including footwear, sports apparel, toiletries, etc. They have vacancies for IT, management, etc as well, and not just design.
http://jobs.theemiratesnetwork.com
http://www.thecontractorme.com/ - Division of ITP (see last two links under I). For IT professionals as well. (Why do they have TWO sites for IT Professionals?)
Below are websites which have a list of recruitment agencies. I've copied the active links within them but please do check these sites as many agencies do not have websites and can be only contacted through phone or e-mail. Many of these websites have similar links.
Another way to find a job is to apply to the companies directly from their website. Many of them have a careers section. You can also directly email or fax any contacts from that company. You can also search UAE yellow pages, business directories and the online versions of newspapers (even though they offer less information than the paper versions). Here is a brief list.
http://www.dubaiinternetcity.com/partner_directory/ - A list of all the companies in Dubai Internet City
http://www.hawkpages.com/ - Business pages. Also contains Dubai Media City list of companies.
