ResourcesForLife.com – News 201308 | 31 August 2013 | Saturday

Dear Friend,

Welcome to the August 2013 newsletter! I hope you’ve had a good summer.

Personal Update. My Personal Update for August is now available. If we’re not already connected on Facebook, I invite you to visit my page and send me a friend request.

New Site Look. The ResourcesForLife.com website has a new look. I’ve been using and tweaking a new site design. The old theme worked okay, but as I’m launching new websites for people, I want my own site to have a more polished and professional look. The most notable changes are:

  • a wider right column, with two narrow columns below
  • featured stories on the home page (top-page slideshow)
  • recent stories on the home page (recent ones with more prominent graphics)
  • prominent Technology Support button at the top for those seeking computer support
  • the addition of an articles menu at the very top of the site for displaying topic-specific site content

RFL News Network. I’m hoping to make the RFL site more like a multi-topic online magazine for people seeking news and information on a wide variety of topics. In addition, I’ve been busy this past month creating and revising topic-focused partner websites, each with associated Facebook pages. This is to make the content more easily discovered and also provide a topic-specific destination for people. Here are some examples:

New Articles. The home page of the RFL site has a list of the latest articles posted to the site including some important announcements. If you skim the titles you should be able to find the items of interest relevant to you.

Heart Songs. The Heart Songs selections for this month are: Beautiful Day by Marie & the redCat, Dirty Paws by Of Monsters and Men, People Like Us by Kelly Clarkson, and Take It On Faith by Natalie Maines.

Thanks. I want to thank the global team of volunteers, contributors, and workers “behind the scenes” who help make all this possible. I’m very grateful to the many people who continue to uphold and advance the mission of Resources for Life. Thanks again for your support. Please let me know if there is any way that Resources for Life can serve you better.

Regards,
Greg
