There are over 54,000 deficient bridges in the United States, and numerous other critical elements of our national infrastructure that are failing. As a result, truck routes are modified to accommodate for impassable roads and bridges. This costs $60 billion per year. That’s only one aspect of America’s crumbling infrastructure.
